Mavuno church is at the heart of controversy yet again as they are set
to hold Mr. and miss high school, the first of its kind in
Kenya!
With Kenya working towards embracing talent among the youth this is
no doubt a timely move shifting the focus from the usual adult pageants
that have been dominating the beauty scene.
What’s even encouraging is the fact that the 30 finalists; 15 boys
and 15 girls will get training from qualified tutors but students will
not undertake auditions unless they have legitimately signed consent
forms by parents or guardians.
The event which is dubbed Talent against Drugs and Substance abuse
aims at raising awareness on alcohol and drug abuse among the teenagers
which has been on the raise in the recent days.
The main event will be held at Mavuno Hill City on the 19th April
from 10am to 6pm and with artists such as Kelele Takatifu to Eko Dydda
and dance crews like Altermin and Allstars you are guaranteed of having real fan.
