Multiple sources said Ruto demanded the reinstatement of former National Youth Service (NYS) Director, Kiplimo Rugut, which outspoken Nandi Hills MP, Alfred Keter, has kept alive despite frantic efforts by Uhuru’s foot soldiers to downplay it.
Other sources said Ruto declined the State House invitation on Sunday night and the whole Monday. This forced Uhuru to go to Ruto’s Harambee House office where they met and Ruto expressed his anger over the sacking of Rugut.
Kapseret MP, Oscar Sudi, revealed the shocking intrigues saying Ruto was angered by Uhuru Kenyatta’s move to sack Rugut when he was on his way to The Hague to attend his ICC trials.
“We were surprised to be told that the new boss of NYS was sworn into the office immediately after Ruto boarded the plane to go to The Hague,” Sudi said adding that things will never be the same in Jubilee Alliance if Uhuru fails to reinstate Rugut.
