This is no bull. East Africa’s most profitable company Safaricom has decided to buy its CEO a private jet, probably in recognition for his good work.
Speaking to Standard newspaper’s business pullout Business Beat, Bob Collymore revealed the good news. ”Yesterday, they [the board] agreed to buy me a private jet.” he said.
Collymore however revealed that if it were up to him, he would buy a helicopter, saying they have always fascinated him. He even has a miniature one on his table.
Asked about his bonuses, Bob revealed that Vodafone UK handles that, and he is not complaining.
It’s not clear whether the jet will be company property or Bob Collymore property.
