As is expected in many African families, if one of the family members is in a position of influence in the government his family is always the first to benefit. This benefits come in form of well paying jobs, lucrative tenders etc, etc.
 While this is the norm some people believe everyone should eat from their own sweat. A good example is Deputy President William Ruto who according to a popular blog his brother is wallowing in abject poverty. This is despite the fact that his brother is filthy rich and is enjoying the trappings of power.
