10 things you never knew about the Woman actor Chiedza "Chi" Mhende, who plays a male role on Generations..#6 will melt your heart

Chiedza Mhende well known as simply ‘Chi’ is making waves in the South African Television industry with her role on the revamped ‘Generations:The Legacy’ where she has a male role.
 
With many female viewers of the show disappointed that the ‘Generations’ hunk is actually a woman, get to know the talented actress’ journey to stardom in our 10 things you need to know.
 
1. Chiedza was born and raised in Zimbabwe. Her birth name is Charlene Chiedza Kudzai Mhende.
 
2. She moved to Cape Town, South Africa in 2006 to study at the African Film and Drama and Arts (AFDA) School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance.
 
3. She was introduced to Cape Town’s theatre world as Lady Capulet in the Artscape production of Romeo and Juliet in 2010.
 
4. Chiedza is also a voice artist. (No wonder why she pulls of her male role on Generations.)
 
5. She has played Sandile in the Cape Town film Love the One You Love, which debuted at the Durban International Film Festival in 2014.
