Rare Photo Of President Uhuru And Margaret On Their Wedding Day

President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta is one lucky man. From being born to royalty itself, to becoming royalty himself. His wedding to one Margaret Gakuo was attended by some of the most prominent people at the time.

President Moi gives fatherly advice to bridegroom Uhuru Muigai and his newly wedded wife Margaret Wanjiru Gakuo after the couple exchanged marriage vows at the Holy Family Basilica in Nairobi on December 2,1989. 

Among the prominent guests at the weeding were Archbishop Maurice Cardinal Otunga (second left), who presided over the wedding. Margaret is the daughter of the former Kenya Railways managing director Dr EN Gakuo (behind the bride). Uhuru is today the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces.
